We are a Milwaukee-based organizing group advancing peace, democracy, and people-powered action.
We coordinate public actions and civic engagement efforts in relation to the national No Kings movement, rooted in democratic values, collective dignity, and local accountability.
Through solidarity, participation, and public action, No Kings Milwaukee works to help people stay informed, show up together, and move Milwaukee forward.
ACTION ITEMS
1. GET ALERTS. SHOW UP.
Half of our job in resistance work is physically showing up. Posting on social media is excellent. Talking about it with others is fantastic. Standing alongside your neighbors, your coworkers, your community—that is patriotic.
Resistance burn out is a problem. We assert that our alerts will only notify you on information the Milwaukee Area Coalition of organizations have deemed critical for mass mobilizations (not a newsletter) and region-wide public safety.
2. REGISTER YOUR GROUP OR BUSINESS.
Grassroots organizations, communities, and local businesses can participate in the movement by contributing resources and professional services to events or attending the org fairs at our events.
If you have a physical space, we highly encourage you to post our No Kings Milwaukee & No ICE Milwaukee signage for your front door.
3. REPROGRAM THE MEDIA LANDSCAPE.
We rely on crowdsourced printing and guerilla posting around the region. Download our posters and post as frequently and widely as possible.
We have to beat the algorithms. Follow our social media and our coalition member social media pages to retune your feed and see what is really going on.
